A new course in performance sailing.

Shift was born to eliminate compromise at sea. Inspired by the sudden shifts in wind that sailors must master, our yachts are engineered to change the course of performance sailing. Reimagined as one complete system, this design unites true performance with refined luxury - without sacrificing control, safety, or ease of handling. The result is a boat that performs as beautifully as it lives.

A NEW STANDARD AT SEA

A yacht designed for family cruising and easy short handed sailing — balancing safety, simplicity, luxury, and exhilarating performance.

Galley Lounge

The galley is enclosed by a large island for safety. It includes a clean work top and ample refrigeration and storage below. It’s the perfect social hub for good food and cheer. The salon is appointed with a sumptuous, over-sized sofa and a large dining table that lowers to form a lounging bed or additional king berth. Perfect for the pilot berth when off watch.

Seamless Living

The connection between the salon and cockpit introduces an entirely new design approach, redefining the boundary between interior and exterior space. It is completely uninterrupted, creating an open, modern living space that feels more like a luxury apartment at sea than a traditional yacht. Unique to SHIFT, the salon doors stow neatly beneath the floorboards, removing all visual and physical barriers between inside and outside. Engineered with precision systems, the doors are lightweight, easy to deploy, and can be fully stowed in under two minutes. The result is unobstructed views, effortless flow, and a cleaner, safer alternative to heavy glass systems—without compromise to performance, safety, or design integrity.

Versatile Luxury

The cockpit is designed for effortless adaptability, featuring double helm seating with reversible backrests that transform into day beds (sun loungers?) or social seating. The aft cockpit layout shifts seamlessly between an eight-person dining setup, two separate tables for flexible flow, or a fully lowered daybed configuration. Whether in sun or shade, the space adapts to how you want to live on board.

Performance

The performance polars shown were issued by the ORC Central Rating Office. The ORCmh certificate is VPP based and intended to be used as a modern fair handicapping system. Presenting the boats speed potential in this way ensures that the results are unbiased and repeatable and easily comparable with our competitors.

Download the ORCmh test certificate below, and use it to compare the performance of the Shift54+ with others to help in your decision making process when buying a new catamaran. We have various data sets at different displacements, including different daggerboard and rig configurations. Contact us at sales@shift-yachts.com if you would like to request these additional certificates.

A disciplined “less is more” approach to composite construction delivers an exceptionally lightweight platform with best-in-class power-to-weight performance, enabling boat speeds that can exceed wind speed. Long, high-efficiency rudders and asymmetric daggerboards enhance control and lift, while an optimized mast position and low boom result in a high-aspect ratio mainsail and large, powerful headsail plan. The hull forms have been refined through multiple iterations of hydrodynamic simulation to maximize efficiency, stability, and speed.
