Performance

This is a byproduct of Less is More and Intelligent Design.

Reducing weight is the SINGLE most important factor in improving a catamarans overall performance and comfort. By centralizing and reducing weight, not using all the hull length for additional cabins and extra bathrooms.

Thermoformed foam cores used in advance composite construction methods save hundreds and hundreds of KGs of parasitic resin weight that all our competitors accept. They also accept their foam cores are now performing upto 75%.

Sail Plan

We correctly proportioned the mast position for and aft in perfect balance with the daggerboards and rudders.

The sail plan itself has a much larger foretriangle than most on the market, this is better for helm balance, performance, and makes the mainsail smaller with a higher aspect ratio for more efficient power, and easier to reef and handle. Taking away the pelican striker makes the downwind sail clews lower, more sail area lower is better power efficiency.

Note the main sheet purchase system is in the boom, keeping the boom as low as possible, this also has a dramatic effect on efficient power. The mast is simple to rotate, this adds to upwind performance like an aircraft wing, and adds to the safety; now you can reef the main when sailing downwind by aligning the main and the batten cars. You cannot do this without a rotating mast.

Efficient Foils

First the daggerboards are perfectly placed to counter the centre of effort and keep the steering responsive and light the entire time. The boards are also asymmetric in foil shape, this dramatically increases upwind lift compared to any symmetric board. Finally we positioned the rudders as for aft as possible, this means more control, less foil, less drag, less angle of attack, less drag.

In sum, this boat will be faster than any comparable catamaran currently on the market without pushing, without having a dangerous oversized sail plan, just efficient power.

As we say, our performance is inherent not forced.

Speed

The performance polars shown were issued by the ORC Central Rating Office. The ORCmh certificate is VPP based and intended to be used as a modern fair handicapping system. Presenting the boats speed potential in this way ensures that the results are unbiased and repeatable and easily comparable with our competitors.

The galley is enclosed by a large island for safety. The very large galley island has a clean work top, a lot of refrigeration and storage below. It is a social hub for good food and cheer. • Long lightweight reverse bows help the boat ride over waves and through them. Reduce pitching and increase speed and comfort.

• Centralized weight is key to reducing pitching, our design leaves the ends of the hulls empty for best speed efficiency

Industry Analysis & Design Philosophy

From understanding that some brands have had their boats capsize, catch fire, and even sink, yet they don't change, we look and learn carefully. We've observed that most catamarans fitted with escape hatches are useless because you cannot fit through them. We also design a sail plan that is safely and easily reefed, yet even with a reef in, this boat will still excite and outperform others.

Energy Storage & Distribution

Our batteries are the latest generation Solid State Lithium chemistry. They can be punctured and even heated to 130°C, making them the absolute safest on the market—which is why we use them. Electrical starts with solid state lithium batteries (the Absolute safest on the market), safe, simple analogue circuit breakers for major systems, digital switching controls luxury comfort features, minimized circuitry keeps system light, reliable and understandable.

Autonomous Stability Systems

95% of your cruising time is spent on autopilot, so we use the only autopilot trusted by around-the-world racers, typically exceeding 30 knots of boat speed en route. Our pilot has AI to learn the wave and boat situation, developed by the best America's Cup and Vendée Globe engineers. It will steer you faster than others, and in the event of a gust lifting a hull, it will immediately steer to depower the boat and avoid a capsize. This advanced autopilot, with its AI anti-capsize steering ability and load monitoring of the mast, works constantly to keep the boat upright at all times.

Structural Resilience

Four properly watertight compartments look after the boat in case of a breach. We have also reinforced the front 30% of the hull with bulletproof Kevlar to minimize that event from ever happening. Platform design includes 4 truly watertight zones in each hull, a forward crash zone, and KEVLAR reinforced impact zones, with strength engineered in excess of ISO/CE regulations using epoxy resin and carbon fibre construction. The enclosed cockpit and elevated lifelines add another layer of security for those on board.

Weight Optimization & Naval Architecture

Advanced design and construction have centralized and reduced weight. This is our MANTRA! An overloaded boat is dangerous and harder to manage and control. Too much weight in the ends of the boat will only enhance violent pitching and slamming.

Ergonomics & Mechanical Reliability

Control at all times comes first with correct lines of sight from the helm and minimal glass interference, an efficient and manageable sail plan, direct link steering, proven throttle and propeller performance. Reliability in all systems. Our electrical, mechanical, and sailing systems have all been designed for outstanding reliability with simplicity, redundancy and serviceability at the heart of each system.

Emergency Preparedness & Risk Mitigation

These are just some of the many safety features we take seriously. Safety is no accident. When the worst happens rest assured life rafts are easily deployable, escape hatches are large enough to get through, automated fire suppression and engine bay shut down systems are ready.
